You can fund your Gemini account with either fiat or cryptocurrency. Please pick your funding source from the list below for more information.

Fiat currency

You must first link your bank account before you can deposit money in fiat currency. You can add your bank account by going to the Funding Sources page and then clicking on Get Started under Automatically link bank.

If you are unable to link your bank account through Plaid or prefer not to use your online banking credentials to register your bank account, please exit the screen and navigate to Manually link bank, where you will enter your wire information. After you’ve entered your bank account information, you can complete the bank verification process by making a successful wire deposit into your account.

Funds transferred by wire transfer before 3:00pm ET are usually available in your account the same day or the next working day (though this may vary based on the internal processes of your bank). Bank Transfer (ACH) deposits are immediately available for trading and fully cleared into your Gemini account, making them available for withdrawal within 4-5 working days.

Cryptocurrency Funding

Customers who want to deposit supported cryptocurrency must need to know the instructions with their external wallet or the service provider that maintains their cryptocurrency to initiate a drawdown to their unique Gemini deposit address.
