Basic Eligibility Requirements of Visa 132

To be eligible for a business talent permanent visa 132, an applicant must:

  • *Pass three points based on age, skills and experience.
  • *The applicant must be under 45 years old (at the time of application).
  • *An applicant who has successfully completed tertiary study in Australia is awarded one point.
  • *Applicants with five or more years of work experience in Australia are awarded one point.
  • *An experienced senior executive or professional working in Australia is awarded one point.
  • *A PhD graduate from an Australian university will also score one point. One additional point can be scored if the applicant has a four-year degree from an Australian university (bachelor's degree or higher).

English language requirement for Permanent Visa Subclass 132

Speaking English is required if you apply under the Business Talent Permanent Visa Subclass 132. However, having English as your first language or speaking it fluently can be challenging, depending on where you live. Minimum Investment Requirement

You must have a minimum investment of AUD5 million to meet the requirements. Your investment should be more than 50% of your business's total capital and less than 100%. Your business cannot be in a sector that has been specifically excluded from the scheme.

These sectors are mining and resources, agriculture, property development and forestry. The exception is if you can demonstrate you will create at least five jobs in any of these industries and create five new businesses outside those industries.

Age Requirement

There is no minimum age requirement for the this visa similar to Business Owner Visa Subclass 890. However, you must be at least 18 years old and under 45 years of age on the date that your application is lodged. You can qualify as an applicant if you are a highly skilled and qualified business person (called General Skilled Migration) or are a spouse, partner or child under 18 who would need to accompany you in Australia.

The requirements for these visas differ, but applicants must pass certain tests, including skills assessment, English language proficiency and medical examination.
