Some of the most notable additions include changes to each character class and their skills, as well as buffs to underutilized abilitieSuch as the Amazon's Fend attack, which has had its speed increased by 100 percent.

Plague and Pattern are among the two new Rune Words, which Blizzard claims were previously present in the data but were never made available to players.  Both Rune Words have been updated and are now available for use in the game, following some minor adjustments.

In addition, Horadric Cube Recipes have been added to PTR 2. 4.  Specifically, according to the developer, "We believe that players appreciate the current Horadric Cube recipes for upgrading Unique items, so we decided to provide a similar capability for upgrading Set items. "The use of lower-level Set items for more character builds can broaden the range of possible character combinations. "

With the passage of D2 Act 6, Streamer suggests that D2R expansion is possible.
