The National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is held on 10th March every year. The day is intended to promote awareness of HIV/AIDS’s impact on women and girls and encourage society to support those who are suffering from the disease infection. Various government and non-governmental organizations are working towards eliminating the social stigma associated with AIDS and encouraging women and girls to opt for timely testing, prevention, and treatment procedures.

The theme of 2023’s of this day according to hiv.gov is Prevention and Testing at Every Age. Care and Treatment at Every Stage. The advancements in diagnostics tests, treatments, and prevention measures are some of the major aspects leading the nation toward its goal to end the HIV epidemic by 2030.
