CISSP CAT Procedure: You Should Know:

The actual CISSP certification exam was a 250-question real bubble exam. Six hours gets allocated to the candidate to finish this test. The CISSP exam was previously revised in 2015 and is now available as a computer-based exam option at Pearson VUE testing centers. Nevertheless, the deadline time of six hours and the number of questions are the same. With further changes in 2018, ISC2 released the test method CISSP-CAT, which is still in use today. CAT stands for Computer Adaptive Testing.

Multiple languages are available for the CISSP Credential. The CISSP-CAT test methodology used for ISC2 applies only to the English version of the exam. The 6 hour version with 250 questions will continue to be used for non-English versions.

The CISSP CAT exam requires a student to answer a minimum of 100 questions and a maximum of 150 questions within her three hours. Only 75 of the first 100 questions are displayed and will affect your final score. The 25 ungraded questions are interspersed among the 100 questions. These questions will help you evaluate future exam questions.

Scores are based on the last 75 out of 100 questions only. After answering question 101, question 1 is deleted and replaced with question 101. After answering question 102, the same process is repeated for questions 2 and 102, and so on. Or pass. Replaced by questions answered in the same domain. So your tests can maintain your domain coverage rate.

Rather than aiming to earn enough points to pass the series, ICS2 measures the skill of demonstrating knowledge in the context of passing criteria concepts. ISC2 does not explicitly define the level of proficiency required to meet this passing criterion. Experts and certified professionals rate around 70% in all areas.

When you reach 100 questions, the test system measures your chances of passing the test to meet the criteria. If the probability of passing is greater than his 95%, the test ends with a pass. If the system evaluates the probability of failure as greater than 95%, the test ends with an evaluation of failure. If the system could not find the probability of passing or failing until it approaches 100 questions, it will rescore until it reaches 150 questions.

Changes in the CISSP Certification Exam (2022-23): Weightage of Domains

A domain can be thought of as a subset of entities organized by ISC2. This grouping is derived from the Cybersecurity Industry Survey, which is part of the Annual Employment Analysis, commonly known as the Cybersecurity Workforce Survey. Take the CISSP certification exam in groups of 8 locations. These domains regularly get an update to keep pace with security standards and technological advances. It was last updated in 2021 and prior to it in 2018. Well, the only change of 2021 release is that domain 4 topics decreased by 1% while domain 8 topics increased by 1%.
