This couple's engagement involved one misunderstanding after another

If you've ever considered jetting to Italy to obtain hitched having a small group of the closest family and friends, even for one minute, I can virtually guarantee that you'll fall in love with today's real wedding. Mark and Kristin travelled using their home in Northern Ireland to switch vows within the drop-dead stunning Casale Pasquinelli, and, between your epic floral moon gate, the gorgeous al fresco tablescape, and Kristin's show-stopping bridal look, their destination wedding in Tuscany is indeed a feast for that eyes. Magills Film and Photography have there been to capture the special moment, and we can't wait to talk about the fruits of the labour along with you!

Mark and Kristin inform us that they've known one another since they were kids! "He was always my childhood crush," Kristin says, "but when I asked him in Primary 4, he ran away (he was scared of girls then)! Our paths crossed again about four years back when Mark inquired about out for lunch - meals are the way to my heart! And the rest is history!"

This couple's engagement involved one misunderstanding after another! Mark took Kristin on a holiday to Belfast to choose an engagement ring, which she thought to be an elaborate wind-up, even if they got towards the car park near the jewellers! "I argued with him and didn’t think that he actually wanted to obtain engaged, so I wouldn’t get free from the car. Eventually, I realised he was being serious so I got out of the vehicle with him, teary-eyed, having a nervous rash and jelly legs, and we proceeded to Lunn’s and also got a ring!"

Mark and Kristin decided early on in the planning procedure that they desired to have a very small celebration. "We only ever wanted a romantic wedding," Kristin says. "The venue that people had chosen only accommodated 30 guests, therefore we made the decision to simply have our immediate family plus some close friends there. We had an event at home whenever we returned from Italy so that people could celebrate with all of our family and friends."

It seems like walking on the aisle would be a particularly magical moment with this pair! "I had tunnel vision and I didn’t see anyone aside from Mark," Kristin says. "I threw my arms to Mark when I got towards the end of the aisle, I couldn’t hold back until the vows, I just needed a hug. For both people, this would be a surreal moment and it is difficult to describe in words the way we felt."

Kristin chose some super sleek bridesmaid gowns from Ghost for her girls, within the prettiest pale shade of pink. Those hoop bouquets were an inspired choice!

Kristin informs us that she first clapped eyes on Casale De Pasquinelli via Instagram. "I immediately fell in love and instantly began to research the venue," she says. "I messaged Gabriele and asked if we're able to call and examine his villa. As we drove on what felt just like a neverending road on the side of the mountain, I felt sick with nerves. When we arrived, I was just amazed by the location and also the views, as well as, Gabriele, who had been able to answer all of our questions and supply the information we needed. We knew it had been the place where our wedding would occur."

The couple were just a little nervous about getting their photographs taken, but this became one of their favourite parts of the day! "Towards the finish of the meal, we slipped served by our photographer towards the local vineyard for many photos. Leanne made this a lot of fun. We wandered with the field and reflected on your day so far, whilst the sun's rays were heading down and Leanne snapped away within the background. It was just perfect."

This wedding seems like a dream from start to finish! "There was no fuss or panic," Kristin says, "chilled vibes only. The marriage ceremony commenced at 5 pm. It was held within the side garden, having a view of the hills of Tuscany. We moved towards the olive garden for that aperitifs as the saxophone was played, and our guests relaxed around the hay bales. Our wedding meal seemed to be held outside, underneath the twinkling fairy lights. Dancing, singing and also the eating of chocolate crepes continued until the wee hours!"

Kristin's advice for engaged couples would be to try and make sure to be fully present on your day! "Take time for you to sit back and take it all in. Watch how happy individuals are for you, hear their laughter and happy tears, and smell the wonderful food, flowers, perfumes and air of happiness. Allow yourself to feel all of the emotions because it is so important, and, lastly, spend more time with those dear to you because it is a moment to appear back on and cherish forever."

For their honeymoon, Kristin and Mark jetted to Mauritius. "We travelled around the island and stayed in three different resorts; Heritage Awali Golf Resort and Spa, Lakaz Chamarel, and Shangri-La Touessrok Resort and Spa. It was amazing! We met some lovely people, and experienced amazing food making lasting memories."
