Wednesday night provided some unexpected drama and excitement when the Red Sox'sRick Porcello was named the American League Cy Young winner despite Zach Davies Jersey Tigers ace Justin Verlander receiving the most first-place votes.

Two writers who voted on the AL Cy Young didn'teven have Verlander on their ballots something Verlander's fiancee, Kate Upton, emphatically on Twitter shortly after the votes were revealed.
