In a move that paves the way for memorial armbands and/or jersey patches, the White Sox have opted to keep Adam LaRoche's locker as he would've wanted it.

Nameplates for LaRoche and his son Drake are Maxx Williams Jerseys still in place in Chicago's clubhouse; the veteran first baseman opted to leave the team (and $13 million)after president Ken Williams suggested that he bring Drake around a little le s than the "100 percent" of the time he did last season.

That didn't sit well with the White Sox.It's impo sible to believe that there aren't at least a few of them thinking "hey, we'll have one le s kid running around all the time," but, at minimum, a vocal minority is mad about the whole deal. Chris Sale and Adam Eaton attempted , and they're holding firm to their stance that Williams acted unilaterally and screwed up team chemistry by merely suggesting that there be isolated moments in which Drake LaRoche be somewhere anywhere else than the White Sox clubhouse.

Sale took that to the next level on Friday afternoon, though. Before demolishing WIlliams, he hung LaRoche jerseys at his locker. Elderly people act similarly when their spouse Arizona Cardinals Hats dies.

That's not unheard of.In 2001, Pittsburgh's Jason Kendall and Brian Giles for shortstop Pat Meares, whocontended that the team was keeping him on the disabled list when it wasn't nece sary over a two-year-old hand injury that prevented him from fully gripping the bat.

Amazingly, then-GM Cam Bonifay signed Meares to a four-year, $15 million extension after he was originally injured in 1999, and Meares, permanently affected by the injury, went on to play two more seasons with the Pirates before, in 2002, the situation . The Pirates' stance was that he was disabled. Meares wanted them to release him, which would jeopardize any attempt by the team to collect an insurance payout on his contract.

Enter the shrine.Did it have candles? Hopefully it had candles.

Meares filed a grievance over the i sue. The sides settled after the 2002 David Wells Jerseys season. Something similar is on the way for the White Sox. Hopefully it takes just as long to resolve, because this is hilarious.

Chris Sale: We got bold faced lied to.

Chris Sale accuses VP Ken Williams of lying to team, and now have a meeting scheduled with Sox Devon Kennard Jerseys owner Jerry Reinsdorf.

Player rep Adam Eaton said Adam LaRoche had clause in contract to allow son and players union now involved

Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale)

If LaRoche seriously had a clause in his contract allowing his son to be around literally all the time, god ble shis agent, and condolences to any White Sox who are being shamed into pretending toenjoy hanging out with a 14-year-old.
