Introduction to truck bumper

A truck bumper is a safety device that absorbs and mitigates external impacts and protects the front and rear of the vehicle. Twenty years ago, front and rear bumpers for cars were mainly made of metal, stamped into U-channel steel with a thickness of 3 mm or more, chrome-plated and riveted or welded to the longitudinal beam of the frame, with a large gap between them and the body, as if they were an additional part. With the development of the automotive industry, the bumper, as an important safety device, also went on the road to innovation.

Today's front and rear bumpers not only maintain their original protective function, but also seek to harmonise and unify with the body shape and pursue their own light weight. In order to achieve this, the front and rear bumpers of cars are now made of plastic, known as plastic bumpers. The plastic bumper is made up of three parts: the outer plate, the cushioning material and the cross member. The outer plate and the cushioning material are made of plastic, while the cross member is made of a cold-rolled sheet with a thickness of about 1.5 mm and is stamped into a U-slot; the outer plate and the cushioning material are attached to the cross member, which is screwed to the longitudinal beam of the frame and can be removed at any time. The plastic used in this type of bumper is generally made of two types of material, polyester and polypropylene, and is made by injection moulding. There is also a foreign plastic called polycarbonate, infiltrated with alloy components, using the alloy injection moulding method, the resulting bumper not only has high strength and rigidity, but also has the advantage of being able to weld, and good painting performance, the use of more and more in the car. The plastic bumper is strong, rigid and decorative. From the safety point of view, it can play a cushioning role in case of a collision and protect the front and rear body of the car.

Reiz auto parts is one of the largest manufacturers of truck bumper legs in Thailand. The bumper leg is used to prevent light and small vehicles from hitting the lower and rear of the truck. When the rear of the vehicle is impacted, the strong anti-collision bar can greatly reduce the deformation of the rear vehicle. The product is made of low alloy high strength carbon structural steel Q345B, which provides strong body rigidity and high safety for trailer and truck bodies.
